Gem augmenting

I know how gem augmenting works and all that, but how much pr does it actually give? Do you need it to get 30k pr?

yeah you need thm to get to 30k pr. they give a lot of pr, like 90% of your pr will be from gems when you hit 20k

I know about that, I already have a 20k pr character. I’m wondering about gem augmenting, using a builders focus in a gem forge.

Just count it yourself.
Maxed small gems give 1755pr each (8 of them)
Maxed big gems give 2251pr each (4 of them)
Once you max all gems, each primordial dragon gives 576pr (3 of them)
In this moment game will say that 24769pr comes from gems alone (game counts primordials as gems)


Crystal 3 gear gives 1609pr (you can equip 3 of them)
Stelalr 5 ring gives 987pr
Best allies give 75pr when equipped
Emblems and flask give 50pr each (so 150pr total)
Each legendary and ancestral dragon give 30pr (the mastery rewards don't give PR)
You get 15pr per 1 lvl of your class
You get 3pr per 1 lvl of your subclass
You get 2pr per 1 trove mastery rank (total mastery and geode mastery don't give PR)

Current top power rank is 34134pr

Wow, thank you for the list, but that’s not what I’m asking. I’m wondering if you need to use the feature gem augmenting, using builders focuses to augment the gems in a gem forge. I want to get a character to 30k pr and I’m wondering if you need to use this feature, or if it’s only needed to get max pr.

if you level up gems which have almost max PR then you don't need augmenting
if you level up bad low PR gems then you need to augment them

Ahh k, that’s what I needed to know. Around how high would you say is good? 550+?

actually I'm one of those who didn't care about this stuff, I'm just doing stuff sloowly, I have augmented my gems when I have got lots of the resources after long time.

The most important stuff I remember was:
Small gems -> always look for one with 2 stars on 1 lvl
Big gems -> always look for one with 3 stars on 1 lvl
(well those 2 were rather obvious)


Also the PR on 1lvl is important but PR at 15lvl is more important, after 15lvl the PR you get is fixed amount, those 10lvls between 15-25lvl always give exactly the same amount of PR (thanks to this you can count the PR at 25lvl just by leveling gem to 15lvl)
I don't remember the numbers tho, maybe somewhere on google/discord someone has data for gem upgrading.
There is small chance that someone on global chat would know answer.

Also I didn't mess with gemes for a long time, so some of the stuff I have said might be outdated

Single best bonus isn't going to be builder focus but chaos to reroll a useless stat.

I'm a gunslinger and all my empowered gems have had physical damage. Basically anything else is better.....so easy choice and sometimes massive bonus if you are lucky.

also about gem augmenting, it's not likely to be the case but if one happen to have a low pr gem, checking in the gem forge if them got all the little squares in the top left corner...

ANY GEM AT OR ABOVE LVL 15 MUST HAVE THREE PROCS IN TOTAL, meaning it started with all three stats at lvl01 ...it was common for a long time to acquire gems with 2 stats only, and still remain true for empowered gems :)

Yep, 3 stat 2 star at level one for lessers. The squares are like boosts to an individual stat right? So for a cosmic you may want to get all boosts into light. That’s my idea of it at least.
