How to fix the DirectX buffer errror?
Everytime I try to boot up Trove I keep getting the same error. It keeps saying DirectX buffer error- Out of Memory. How do I fix this?

I'd be curious about this too, I started getting this error when the Creators' Update for Windows 10 came out. For me, the game usually crashes when switching between worlds.

I've been searching on the Trove forums for possible solutions, one of them suggested turning "Bloom" off and setting the "Shader Detail" to 0 in the Video Settings but those didn't quite help. (Maybe they do for you, though.) Also, in case you haven't yet, you could try to run the game in one of the "compatibility modes".

That's all I got, hopefully someone else can help with this.

Edit: Different sources say "Bloom" should be turned *on*. Well, I guess gotta try with both settings.

You must run %appdata% and click trove file, click trove.cfg then open with wordpad and find option like this "Device = directx" change directx to opengl

This open gl fix worked perfectly for me.

However, my trove.cfg was a little different. It had nothing after the Device= line so I had to ADD the open gl after the equals sign that followed Device. Looked as below:

Device = open glLODDistance = FXAA
