Still worth it to play Revenant ?

Hey guys. So back when I played Trove, Revenants were new and they were really good. I came back awhile ago and was excited that I got a new class coin. Little did I know that they were nerfed terribly, I immediately got myself a rev.

I've put in quite a lot of effort for it now. I found out how obtaining class gems work and I thought I could use my rev at 5k PR to get class gems for other classes but I was wrong.

So my question is, is it still worth it to continue playing my rev ? It doesn't dish out a lot of damage and it's pretty flail (I could die in like 4 hits from HM ST mobs in Pin/Dotm even with 150k HP). A lot of people recommend that I play SH or NN or GS. But if revs are still like the top 5 DPS classes I'd still play it though. If they're completely trash, do recommend me a class I can switch to without funding a ton.

EDIT: I got quite a lot of HR gems on my rev and I hope that it would be useful for other classes too, no ?

Thanks a lot for your reply man. That was also my post. Seeing as I didn't get any reply here for 3 hours I decided to post it on the official forums instead. Your input is very much appreciated. You're right it's a tank class and should be played as a tank. Just that the 1 skill puts me off cuz it seems like suicide on a 1v1. I figured it's more of an AOE only use.
