My favorite method is to cruise around fire lands and pick them off the ground. I glide with the help of 50 jumps and swoop down to get them. Guesstimate 2 bones per minute. Also in the desert there are a couple dungeons that come with bones placed on them. The bar/boxing dungeon has about five scattered around outside that hardly anyone picks up. That is like 500 flux just laying there.

Ive never counted what drops from the cursed mobs so that may very well be faster. Also you would be doing dungeons at the same time I imagine.

you can get bones from cursed biome or dragonfire peak biome
Cursed Biome ( any skeleton monster )
Dragonfire Peak Biome u need to search for spefici dungeons where the top of the dungeon has an hidden portal which leads to a small farm containg plants that gives glim and bones

Dragonfire Peak dungeon ~ No shelter , Looks like a white Dragon hugging a pillar

master level world: go on your horse and run every single non-primal block over (rocks, bushes, grass, etc) in the desert biome. i got like 30 bleached bones in 1 try.
