Can't Log in VIA Steam
The game used to launch fine from steam but I have tried to log in via steam for the past 5 days and can't find anything to work. I have tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling the game, clearing out temp files via ccleaner, fixed registry errors via ccleaner, clearing out trove in appdata and I have no glyph.lock file to delete. I have uninstalled it via steam and downloaded the stand-alone launcher from Glyph and that works, so the game runs on my system fine. For some reason it just doesn't want to launch from steam anymore.

Anyone have any pointers? I have no clue of what to do anymore...

Do you have "GlyphClient.cfg" in non-steam version?
If yes then go inside and change
"[Glyph]
UseSteam=0"
into
"[Glyph]
UseSteam=1"
Not sure what happens but might help.

I don't currently have it installed via the stand-alone launcher as I thought they might have a conflict if I had both stand-alone and steam versions on my comp. I checked the GlyphClient.cfg in the steam directory and it has the following:

[Glyph]
UseSteam=1
SingleGameId=131
DownloadId=131
AffiliateId=251

For me they don't conflict.
If the steam doesn't work then I doubt any changes in this file will help.
I thought that standalone version can be turned into steam one by change in this file - maybe your steam downloads some corrupt files.
You can try to set "UseSteam=1" into "UseSteam=0" and run GlyphClient.exe, maybe it's not problem with corrupt files but the steam itself.

I tried your suggestion of setting it to 0 and running GlyphClient.exe but that didn't work :(

Then probably something with the files, you can check integrity instead reinstall.
Or download standalone and try the "UseSteam=1" If it would work then you could remove trove from steam folder and put the standalone inside ;D Steam would run this one.

I tried checking integrity of the files multiple times and that never worked. I reinstalled via the standalone Glyph client and copied over all of the files as you suggested and that worked. Thank you for your help!

No problem!
I wasn't sure it would work tho :D
It was just some random idea.
