Gosu Pilot?

What counts as completing the game? I just beat stage three for the first time, beating global warming. The gosu pilot achievement did not increment though.

Very nice! You have some extreme skill. To beat the game and roll the credits however, you have to finish the game in all 3 runs! You will get a different last boss for each run provided that you finished the last boss in the run before. You must be truly perfect.

I actually held a contest when the game was released for a golden trophy! A gamer named Loots finally unlocked all the trophies after almost a month after the games release.

If you can complete all 3 runs and beat the game, you will be only the second person ever to do so (as far as I know). Good luck pilot!

Ouch, that's tough. I think I could do it depending on how those other two final bosses are. My first game in that set, I lost a lot of lives and played very conservatively. I got to find out that you can't actually fight the final boss if you have less than 300 points (I had 290). I just stared at that message, I think that was the time I felt most trolled in the game. I won on the second run. I suicided early on the third try because I wanted to check trophies I was so happy. My new high score is 661.

Yeah, it can be a huge troll. The reason for that design is to prevent players from just hiding their cursor the entire time. This way, the player must aggressivley seek points and put themselves in danger!

For the record, does this achievement require using the Masochist mode or not? I know that the final 2 trophies in the game require the Masochist mode, but can you "beat the game" without it?

Yes, I think you can get it without masochist mode. I'm not a 100% sure though :p It's not something I could play test very much because even for me it is very difficult.

Confirming, I just saw the credits without using Masochist mode, and the achievement stat incremented.

Also saw a shameful typo in the credits, "than we would like to thank you!"

Also, you're welcome. Fun game! Too bad it didn't get a lot of publicity.

Awesome dude you did it! You can attribute the typo to me scrambling to get the game finished on time. But it's ok, only a handfull of players will ever see it!

Thanks glad you liked it. Not everybody "gets" my game or can appreciate it. But all I can ask is that you tell your friends about it :)

It's odd, in this thread you speak as though you don't have access to the souce code and can't simply check things!

I have plans to write a Steam review of Point Perfect, and also to write a guide for it. It is not all that hard of a game, with the right knowledge and strategy.

Ha ha well thats because I'm not a programmer. Point Perfect was made in gamemaker. I have a hard time remembering which objects I hid the code in. It's an absolute mess!

A review would be much appreciated! And if you're going to make a guide let me know if you need any more information on things.

something tells me you just want us to soldier through the bosses and levels and minigames until we beat the game 3 times in a row.....there really needs to be more youtube videos on this game but i doubt it since people go mad avoiding death and failing

I'm still confused... Does "Gosu Pilot!" achievement only require 300+ minimum score on each 3 tries "with" continues and without the need to defeat the "last 3 true bosses" on each 3 tries?

Do you get the achievement by simply having 3 credited/green-circled scores on each 3 tries without defeating any of the last 3 true bosses?

You cannot have three green-circled scores.
Gosu pilot can only be achieved by beating the game three times in a row.

I am not certain but I think it is not obligatory to never die the entire set.
So just try to beat the boss and there you go. It's that simple! - not
