SPOILER: 3rd Door question, Jacopo and *******
Before anything I absolutely love everything about this series. Amazing story and writing. HoFM does very well covering it's bases. Very minor plot holes. There's one that's just absolutely obvious to me and I want opinions.

We know that Morgana was watching The Maid and Michel relive the memories of those doors. How in the hell did Morgana NOT realize that Jacopo was same slave man who saved her life and spent 3 years with her? Jacopo physically looked the same. Thoughts?

It's been a millennium since Morgana last saw Jacopo's face in a sane state of mind (i.e. on her twelfth birthday party). Even Giselle, as an adult, eventually forgot what Michel looked like as time passed. You can't expect a person blinded by rage to remember someone she thought had died all those years ago when she was still a little girl.

I mean she couldn't even recognize him in the tower in her original life and conflated him with the old lord.

LOOOOL
yesterday i asked this exact thing to the Discord Fatamoru's channel HAHAH
there, we were talking, and we thought this:
it's ok for her to not recognize his face, she can easily see him as "Lord Barnier", since thousand of years have passed, and she had memory problem just like Maid. But during the third door she HEARS that his name is "Jacopo", and her friend is "Maria". She MUST understand that he is the slave.
Our assumption was that she completely forget the name of all the people she were cursing, cuz that's the only specific thing that should have remind her of all the people she have met.

Anyway i've asked this to Hanada, he will reply soon. I'll let you know

I like that theory. It would make some sense since Giselle forgotten Michel even after he had reclaimed himself. I couldn't imagine any different from MOrgana... especially since she was a child and an extra 100 or so years added on from Giselle's time period.

Yes let me know please

another thing is, since her love for Jacopo was from her "good side" (WHG), she became unable to remember him as a Witch form.

This always bothered me too. I actually asked it to them in one of the twitter Q&A they held and uh...

Quite a non-answer, so I dunno.

I don't quite buy this completely. Morgana didn't completely lose her memory of all good things when WHG split from her. If that's the case she'd have no recollection of being a Saintess. I can however, see how the lack of her "good side" would help her "forget" Jacopo. It's all still debatable

He may just have intended that the reason is HOW her mind f*ckedup, but it isn't a good reason anyway, lol

I found some sentences from the short story "Your and my hometown" (which is the extension of Another Episodes), which might be the answer.

When Morgana mentioned the 3 years she spend with the slave man, she said "Since that day, even if the terrible lord appeared in my dreams, I had been able to let it pass by closing my eyes tightly. I had been able to erase the lord's face and voice from my memory."
And when Jacopo's spirit was begging Morgana "please don't forget my name anymore", Morgana's reaction was like "The gentle memories were too painful to me (after I thought I had lost all my friends) so I erased them. I erased all the names, faces and memories. That's why ... I mixed up."
Moreover, Jacopo indeed changed a lot after he became the lord (to get rid of his past).

I'm not good at translating Japanese to English but I hope you can get the idea.

That makes a lot of sense considering Morgana just glosses over her time at the brothel in this game.
