“Michel” pronounced?

Is the pronunciation of Michel like “Michael” or more like a version of “Miguel,” like Me-kell?

Sorry if this is a super dumb question, I’ve just been reading it in my head one way, and wondered if I was correct.

I assume you haven't reached it yet, but at one point in the story, the game explicitly tells you how his name is pronounced through one of its lines. That's all I can tell you without getting into spoilers.

Sometimes, I mix things up in my head. I don't think it should matter that I asked for confirmation.
