Dreams of The Revenants Edition on PC when?

I really really wanted to purchase the game as it is right now but to know that the consoles have a better version of the game with some things like the new ui, sounds, new backgrounds, increased resolution and more makes it the definitive version of the game. I read somewhere that they consider a PC port sometime this year but the year is almost over. It got cancelled or something? I really hope it will come so I will experience this masterpiece at its best!

Actually, pc version is better, no censures, no cut artworks, no cut sprites, (and even better backgrounds, in my opinion) and have extra backstages for Fatamoru and Requiem (which are missing in PS version).
Also, they haven't confirmed anything about a pc port of that remaster. They say that they haven't the license for Reincarnation, being it a collaboration with another team. They would like to do it, though, but until they manage to acquire the license it's unlikeable to happen.
You should really get the Pc version, don't wait, so you could see the remaster with a more accurate eye. You could enjoy that too in the future, thanks to the extra side stories, but with more knowledge of the visual differences.

That is a very nice point of view you have there. Maybe I'll get it on Steam Winter sale cuz I got my hands full already with Chaos;Child and Umineko no Naku koro ni (83 hrs in and I'm on Episode 3 !!! How time passes... phew)

The remaster is on PC, but only with the the 4K resolution and backgrounds and art, but none of the other content added in the Dreams of The Revenants Edition, though it is not in English.

Because they have announced and released it just recently, only in japan though. Still no announcement for western market.

Is that the general consensus here? I was debating whether or not I should buy the switch version because of this.

No, is not actually the general consensus. People agree that Pc version is better (only if they actually played pc version first) but don't mind so much. They like the console version too.
What i've mentioned are just the objective reasons why is better, but everyone have their own tastes, so they could like the remaster anyway.

Alright thank you. Still not sure what to do now. If I buy the switch version I gain access to the sequel. Which will likely never be on pc.

I don't really go out much. All of my classes are online. I'd only ever read at home. This would be an easy option if this version were avaliable on pc :/. Especially since I have a 4k display. But you know what. I guess I will go for it on switch. I'm willing to hear any objections.

Edit: I guess you should take it from the perspective of a guy who uses his switch while docked. That should make it a little more clear.
