Achievements glitched?

[Ceaseless Duality]

I played through the game twice and both times got Marie's ending with a score of 60. I followed one of the guides listed on Steam for it.

I can't tell if I need a higher score (but that seems odd if I'm getting Marie's ending) or if the achievements aren't working.

I'm on Windows 8, if that makes any difference.

Update: It seems I had to restart Steam after installing the game in order for the achievements to work. I played through it again after restarting, and now the achievements work.
So, I guess the moral of the story is: restart Steam after installing a game?

If you were on Linux, I know the Achievements don't work then (though I also know the coder was going to take a peek at that)
