Why is Marie so unlikable?

Does anyone like this character? From the start I immediately Identified her as the low self esteem try hard cry baby and immediately thought I must hate this person. My first play through I made sure she had 0 affection for Haileen. Am I the only one?

I liked Marie, though she is admittedly a hard one to like.

I don't like her either really but I am only on chapter 4.

Part of it is that Marie can be a bit...possessive. Of course, that can also turn some people off.

I didn't like any of the characters tbh. XD They're all pretty unlikeable (or you don't know much of them).
Maybe that makes them slightly more realistic? *shrugs*
