Call to Arms is a modern era version of Men of War Assault Squad 2. Youtube men of war and see what the gameplay is like, and you'll get your answer.
- Command and Conquer Generals 2
- Act of Aggression
- Men of War: Assault Squad 2
- Company of Heroes 2
- Call to Arms
I would like to hear what game people like better.Act of Aggression is in Beta
Men of War: AS2 is basically Call to Arms in WW2 and much more finished
Call to Arms is in early access.
CoH2 is just a horrible game filled with micro DLC. it's not fun and takes no skill to play, I'd recommend COH1 over it and some of its mods.
- Command and Conquer Generals 2
- Act of Aggression
- Men of War: Assault Squad 2
- Call to Arms
If anyone else has any opinions on these 4 games, which ones they like the most, what the differences are, etc, I would love to hear it.Command and Conquer Generals 2 got canceled
Act of Aggression is Command and Conquer style RTS, might be good for some one that want to try RTS games out
Company of Heroes 2 is not bad game but plagued with DLC, as for gameplay I don't really like it, cant say if it's harder/easier than Command and Conquer style.
Men of War Assault Squad 1 have free demo that you can try, AS2 basically upgraded version. Note MoW doesn't have bots only AS2 got it but as DLC and they aren't great. Also game is pretty hardcore and take time to get into, might not be best option to start with.
Call to Arms is basically modern version MoW with better graphics, bots and so on...
Wargame is also good unique RTS but might be hard for some one new to RTS
Star Craft 2 have free demo, one of classic RTS...
It's not really first person but yeah there is some old RTS that have it
Command and Conquer, Act of Aggression, Company of Heroes has old-school Base Building and Resource Management. These games are more arcade (vehicle has health bar) and competitive (relatively fast pace).
Call to Arms and Men of War: Assault Squad 2 focused on unit placement & maneuver and is more realistic (vehicle has no health bar, use armor penetration instead, which means tanks can be easily one shot if you hit the right place. Also infantry are more vulnerable to bullets, 2~3 shots can kill one), therefore both games have little to no Base Building and Resource Management elements in it. The downside of these two games are :
- Call to Arms is apparently not finished, full release probably will have be next spring.
- Men of War: Assault Squad 2 has a serious multiplayer connection issue, which prevents players from playing any MP games. And you also will have to buy an additional DLC to play with bot AI (which many complain that AI is stupid).
You can control individual soldier / vehicle in both Call to Arms and Men of War: Assault Squad 2, but not in first person.Anyone have both games or know a lot about both and got any opinions?
I know that Call to Arms is slightly more modern, is in beta, and is cheaper than MoW.
I know that Men of War has better graphics, has better graphics, and costs more than C2A.
