What, EXACTLY, do we get from the Deluxe Edition?
This game looks interesting, but from what I've been able to glean, the "Deluxe" edition is...early access to the single player campaign? That can't be ALL it is, can it? 10 or 15 bucks for something that will come with the game for free at launch? Am I missing something? Thanks.

Yeah, thats what I was afraid of. As politely as I can, I'd ask how you logically justify charging 15 dollars for a few emoticons and a "slight" xp boost? Not trying to be an ass, but I just don't see how that sparse of a content selection justifies that price. With a myriad of other games, 15 dollars of DLC will buy you new characters, weapons, maps, levels, entire new game modes. Entire sequels, in some cases.

Deluxe is if you want to support developers, if you don't want it don't buy it rofl... ez

It also allows you to play the Single Player Campaign as they develop it. I think you have to have deluxe edition for that.

I understand that. If the singleplayer campaign itself, in its entirety, was the $15 DLC, then yeah, that price point would make sense. In the current format, you are paying $15 for the buggy, unstable, unfinished mid production product that everyone will get for free anyways. You are essentially paying $15 to beta test a feature that will be free to everyone who is patient. That's the part that confounds me.

Well would you prefer to do the preorder for full price and not play game until it's finished?
So here is secret, no one forces you to play until it's finished product.

But, I only paid $10 b/c I bought the deluxe when I purchased the game. And I tend to like Single Player missions better than MP anyway.
They said the single player won't be finished for about a year. So I can get access to that before it is released.

I know I am paying for something that will be free later so I can access it now.
To me it is worth it. I make enought $$$ where it doesn't take food off of my table, so I chose to do it.

And in the end I like the games this company makes and knew I'd be buying it sooner or later.

Yes, actually. Paying full price for a preorder then waiting for the game to reach full release would make more sense then charging for a feature already included in said full release and calling it a DLC.

My issue isn't with the game itself, its price, features or anything else. It is only and entirely with the DLC. Now, unlike most people on the internet, I even have a solution. Bring in a couple DLC exclusive items to the "Deluxe" edition. Nothing game breaking or overpowered, but...supply trucks, if they dont exist in game. HEMTT's and Kamaz for example. Or MRAP's and Vodniks, slightly more armored then humvees for example, but slower. Maybe M1A2 and t-90 variants with reactive armor, or enhanced secondary weapons or gear. Again, nothing over powered or excessive, but something that would actually present game play differences, even minor ones, for those who bought the Deluxe.

So paying full price and waiting full game > paying less, getting early access which is your decision to play or not, getting full game
Logic is missing here.

It is completely optional if you don't want it, don't get it.

I'm aware of that, what I'm offering here is a way that might entice more people to choose to "get it", which can only be a good thing, both for you, financially speaking, and your customers.

Well thats not the way to do it, it adds nothing more than p2w, only things can be added are small visual changes for show off

Please read again, carefully. I clearly state, several times in fact, that those items shouldn't be overpowered in any fashion, little more then reskins with marginally different stats, not pay to win at all. Enough to be unique, but not enough to unbalance the game. A fine line to program, perhaps, but far from an impossible one.

Putting units behind a pay wall is a horrible idea. Would piss me off and others as well.

I bought the Deluxe to support the devs, not so that I can be special and show off to people.

Don't buy the DLC. This company wants to stay as far away from P2W as possible. Your idea would contradict their mission.
