Must have mods?

Hello,

I'm not really sure how modding works within this game, as for now, only one mod seems to be actually working for me and it's the long lasting debris and bodies, no other mod works, not even blood and gore. I have changed version numbers on all my mods.

Mods that add factions, campaigns, units, maps, seem not to be working, or I just don't know how to properly use them..

Could you guys please run me trough the basics and recommend some good mods that would improve the gameplay and perhaps add new campaigns if there are any, or maps to play against AI in?

For the record, I play only singleplayer. Campaigns for now, but once I'm done with them, then conquest I guess.

warfighter is probably the best mod out there improves general game and its stand alone dont use it with any other mod
