M109A6 Paladin Not firing or Engaging enemy Tanks in range or view.
I know its not for say a anti tank vehicle..but shouldnt it engage things when they are in range if im not physcially using it..doesnt it have an a.i. lol..damn thing just sits there doing nothing when i have them in the field..idk how to use them? i guess totally confused, i keep exiting out cause of them not gaining territory..im at a lost, wish i had researched something else now lol

we don't let units shoot at units they cannot harm
they cannot penetrate tank armor so they shouldn't even try (it's a waste of ammo and they might ignore a unit that they actually can harm)
Shouldn't it be able to stun the crew however?
i mean its got a 155mm howitzer..no way it doesnt do any damage to it..its not plausable. The crew alone would be injured etc

But the AI will fire at units they cant hit. Its amusing watching my guys fire AT weapons into walls, just because there is a vehicle spotted, within range, but with no clear LoF.

And its even more amusing and quite annoying, to watch my guys fire AT weapons at infantry, why they doin that?

That will happen when they have a AT weapon at hand, most times they will switch back to the rifle. But not always.
This is something that annoys me in SP campaigns. AT infantry get wiped by enemy infantry, because they are forever switching to AT. Even when there is no vehicles in LOS. Another thing the devs completely ignore.

You do know that they only switch to RPG's once they saw a target, or is it to hard for you to tell them to switch back to the rifle?

More and more gamers can't think and breath at the same time it seems.

Considering you decided to unnecessarily insult me for whatever reason. I couldn't really give a ♥♥♥♥ what you think mate. However, I will reply...

You on the other hand struggle to comprehend. They switch even when no vehicle is in their LOS. How do I know? Well, because I play with fog of war on. If my men can see an enemy vehicle, then it should show up on my screen. Which it doesn't (not all the time). Sometimes they will switch to AT and I will be sat there like a lemon waiting for a vehicle that never turns up. Only to have an enemy infantryman come around a corner and kill my AT whilst he does nothing, literally nothing. This can only mean one of 2 things, either FOW is broken or LOS is broken. Either way, it makes playing on the hardest settings in single player very frustrating.
Using paladin artillery in a skirmish and when I right click on an enemy to attack from a distance, the artillery aims to the left and shoots nothing (wtf?) it does that or it drives forward to engage with its 50cal M2 MG which completely negates the point of having an artillery, supposed to be long range support..... The AI is broken in this vehicle.

AI in this game is Janky full stop. Which wouldnt be a problem apart form the fact that AI is pretty much the foundation of this game and should be much more capable. At the moment its as dumb as a bag of rocks and incredibly simple.
