More important than internet speed is player performance within the game. If you look at the scoreboard you should see players performance bars, if yours is low you will want to lower in game settings.

The performance bar of me and my friends are full, our computers are high end

I'm have a same problem. How to fix it ?

i have the same problem since the new net code was added. I have at least 5 sec delay for every command i give in game. I check the score board, my ping is between 190-230. What is weird is in the lobby my ping indicator reads 61-65, but in game i still get delay between 2-5 sec. I am wondering if this is isolated. I am leaning toward isolated since my friends are still playing fine. I just want devs to confirm if this is in fact due to quality of the individual networks or the new netcode.

Performance drops when the game registers on-screen explosions, bullet hits etc. At least on weaker PCs - so I was told.

I know but me and my friends PCs are high end PCs. when we play in single mode with ultra graphics setting with no problems but when we go online those problems happen.

After the update with the new netcode, I would get either one or four red bars. They were full white bars before the update.

The bars indicate performance (whether your computer is keeping up with the game graphics). Check if your ingame graphics setting has been turned up. The number (ms) is what involved with the netcode.

Netcode was released to support 64bit back in November 18, is this the netcode you all refer to?

I host most games i play and when i get a player from outside Australia join (ping greater than 200), my game lags whilst it awaits the other players data to transfer to my hosted server. This appears to be directly related to the higher ping when the other player joins. When i play against local players (ping less than 100) i dont see any lag and the game is very smooth, except when the player has a poor performing pc.

The new netcode that is showing red bars since its implementation may have more to do with the fact the game is now 64bit whereas before the new netcode it was 32bit. Could this be the reason it shows 4 red bars instead of all white for some. Their system may struggle with 64bit and the 4k textures? I always show full white bars before and after the November netcode release. Possibly more to do with my hosting of the games i play than anything else.

FWIW, my pc specs are below:

Processor: i7 8700 @3.20Ghz
RAM: 16Gb
Graphics: ASUS STRYX GTX970 with 4Gb VRAM
Internet Speed: 50 Meg download 30 Meg upload

This is my case. My ping indicator reads 89-103 ms and the bars are white. Still my game lags. Very weird. Go to the mark 49:08 where i turned on my score board

this is exactly what happened to me and my friends i hope we will get the solution soon. the game lag make me really sick.

the question is who is causing the performance drop - this is the player with a currently bad connection or pc performance
make a game without this player and check if the game still lags

you can also do the test to play online versus ai only - then you are host ( => the server is running on your pc as well) and it's only your connection and performance affecting the game

this way you might be able to find out the real culprit behind the lags
