What are the Triangles on Map with a shield and circle for???

Anyone know what the spots are on maps that have a shield and circle? I looked in Library but did not see any info.

sounds like the places where your engeneers can build sandbag fortifications in some gamemodes but without to see it with my own eyes i cant say it for shure, if you see them again than call in some engeneers, select them and go above the area you descripe and see if your mouse turns into a white sandbag icon, if yes then right klick on it to order your engeneers to build.

in most cases you can build multiple stages so if they are finished select them again to see if they can build the next stage. :)

There is a key combination which orders your engeneers to build until the last stage is build but sadly i dont know the key combination yet, i just heared that there is one and cant remember where it was. :(

BTW: your engeneers can build sandbag barrickades at capturing points too in some game modes (at least, i dont know if they can do this in all gamemodes. :) ) and in last man standing they can build a heavy MG in the bunker in your base.
