Deluxe Purchase
"Your transaction failed because you are trying to buy 'Call to Arms - Deluxe Edition upgrade' which requires ownership of 'Uninitialized'. Please correct the error and try again." What does this mean exactly. I'm simply trying to play mods on this game. Can anyone, a developer or fellow user, can explain what this means.

i assume you are playing the free to play version.

The deluxe edition upgrade is a upgrade which means you need to own the basic edition first, it might be cheaper to just buy the deluxe edition rather then the basic edition and the deluxe edition upgrade seperately or if you just want to play with mods the basic edition is enough.

But keep in mind that the basic edition does not contain any dlc, the dlc factions are free for basic edition owners but you wont be able to play the campaings of the dlcs or to use every units without to level up the faction first as you know it from the free to play version.

So to play mods I need the basic edition? And yes I just have the free edition.

But even if I try to purchase deluxe edition this is the result. "Your transaction failed because you are trying to buy 'Call to Arms - Deluxe Edition upgrade' which requires ownership of 'Uninitialized'. Please correct the error and try again."

For the upgrade you need the basic edition. The are two deluxe editions: 1) the upgrade one. 2) the standalone one

As BrunoFisto wrote and yes, if you only buy the game in order to play mods the basic edition is enough.

You can play mods with any of the paid game versions. The only game version with which you can not play with mods is the free to play version.

Overall I first needed to upgrade to the basic edition to play mods. And then upgrade that edition to the deluxe edition, correct?

How about season pass. I couldn't find the basic edition in the dlc. Does this include the basic edition, which will it allow me to play mods?

You can get the deluxe and the basic in a bundle. You have to go to the Steam Store, not the ingame one.

You can not buy the season pass with the free to play version of the game, if you want the season pass and the deluxe content it might be the cheapest way to buy the ultimate eidtion itselfe.

you can buy the deluxe edition without to buy the basic edition first, you need to buy the deluxe edition, not the deluxe edition upgrade.

You are a F2P player so you CANT NOT BUY UPGRADES. Go to the Call to arms store page and find "DELUXE EDITION" and add to cart.

.DONT NOT ADD TO CART DELUXE EDITION UPGRADE OR ANYTHING THAT SAYS UPGRADE. Considering you do not own the game you cant upgrade it you can only buy the base game.

If you want the basic edition than add to cart the basic edition I REPEAT LIKE EVERYONE ELSE HAS 10 TIMES YOU DO NOT OWN THE GAME YOU CAN NOT UPGRADE TO A VERISON OF A GAME YOU DO NOT OWN!

If you want the deluxe edition than you need to BUY the deluxe edition which you will than OWN the game F2P players DO NOT OWN THE GAME hence why you can not buy verison upgrades it clearly says on the page that you need to own the game first which you do not.

It literally says on the store page add to cart for w.e verison you want of the game.

You do not want/cant buy the DLC's considering you dont own the game which is CLEARLY STATED ON ALL DLC PAGES.....

How do you expect to buy a DLC for a game you don't own. Thats like trying to upgrade your computer with no computer to upgrade LOL.

Hi Crimson.
First you need to buy the basic version. Once you own the basic edition, then you can buy the deluxe and season pass. Deluxe and Season Pass combined give you the Ultimate Version. The link below will detail what is in each version. You only need the basic edition to play Single Player Campaigns and Mods from the workshop. Hope it helps.
