I just left a Positive Reveiw and i find out this?

Ok our Army still uses the Humvees As i live next to a Navy Base and the Army Trains here \
Same with the Marines/Navy

BRING THEM BACK!

I've seen some games where they put a disclaimer saying that the vehicles in their games are just representations of the real world vehicle and not the actual vehicle itself and that the devs are not affiliated with the vehicle or the vehicle manufacturer. Can't you do that or does that still leave a risk?

And doing a bit of research, it seems that you can just remodel the Humvees like removing the X's on their doors and it technically won't look like a humvee anymore, or at least they can't sue you for it.

well, for realism reasons your descission is not a problem at all, we know that the us army is actively replacing the humvee with the vehicles you replaced them in your game since some years (i think?) and call to arms should take place in the near future so........ :)

Will they be removed wholesale in later updates, or will their models be changed and kept as "LAC"s? The latter case will be totally fine. I'm making a custom mission, so it will be difficult if the vehicles just become inaccessible in the editor a few updates later.

its not, AM General has sued Activision because they dont asked for permission to use the Humvee in the call of duty games.

they claimed " that these Humvee-lookin’ vehicles violate their trademark".

EDIT: after seeing your secound post i have not seen at the time i wrote my comment i think i have missunderstood what you mean which makes my post pointless.

Activision never claimed that they have the right on humvee vehicles, they just used it in thair games without to ask for permission to use it.

why dont you just ASK them for permission...? for them its just a principle. If there is sb asking for their permission, they will love to give it to you....... again, its just a principle. ask them and you will get it. dont ask them, and ull get fked.. its that easy, screwed how humans are.. at the end its a win-win situation. i know what i am talking about, trust me.

The Military is not removingthem dumb nut their just not buying them from company’s they will use them till they run out or they don’t want to any more.


Also The National Gaurd gets all our old stuff so if you see military guys In your town with hummers it’s probably the National GaurdThe new hummers just have the Armor for the gunner that’s it.
