Abrams cant pen t80s front and t80 can easily pen abrams front providing that the hull isnt angled much.So t80 is better then abrams in this game although abrams still has a little better gun and side and turret armor.Simply put in a head to head t80 can kill abrams while abrams can only pen t80s turret side rear.
T80U is a good tank no doubt, but honestly I think the US should get the more newer versions of the M1A2, Like Sep V2 or Sep V3. GRM at the moment for me is much easier to use and more chance of winning due to the cost and effectiveness of their equipment. How they would balance out GRM is the Question, maybe give the GRM T-72BM with Kontakt-1 ERA.
