Silenced sniper rifles
It would be a cool feature if this was added, and it would probably work well with sneak missions like the courier one

The main problem with suppressing a sniper rifle is that a suppressor only works to reduce the noise of rapidly expanding gas... but does nothing to reduce the "sonic crack" of a bullet if it breaks the sound barrier.

Since sniper rifles tend to use high velocity rounds meant for long-range work, this is a problem. A suppressed sniper rifle will not be as quiet as other suppressed weapons firing subsonic munitions.

Pretty much your choices are:
1) Use a suppressor with high velocity ammunition, which will still make noises.
2) Use a suppressor with subsonic ammunition, which will reduce effective range and penetration.

None of them are particularly good choices for snipers.

Maybe if Russian spec ops had the silenced VSS Vintorez instead of SMGs it could be an elite squad better at long range but worse in CQB.

Also AEK-999 Barsuk suppresed LMG plz.

There's already the AS Val in the game, which is essentially the Vintorez. Although the AS Val is incorrectly categorised as a SMG instead of an assault rifle, which is a bit strange.

Really the Vintorez isn't really a sniper rifle... it's an integrally suppressed assault rifle. Although that might be a bit dissapointing, it's worth noting that it does the job very well; suppressed 5.45 is pretty weak and I don't even know if the military regularly issues subsonic 5.56.
