Real port? Or Dosbox?
Is this packaged with Dosbox like the GOG version?
Or this this a modern hardware port?

No, not really. The GOG team actually puts effort into making the games work on modern PCs. You should never buy old games on Steam.

These are published by Night Dive, they work fine - same as GOG (so you can buy this safely on Steam if you prefer)

No they are 1:1 the GoG version. And that's great because I detest GoG and the way they treated their customers in the past.

?~?~?~? What's wrong with GOG, man? I've been a loyal customer for years with no complaint at all.

I was just curious because I still have my original CDs (that I use with DosBox)
I buy stuff from GOG and am also curious as to why Fhqwhgod has a problem with them.

Maybe he is still angry at the 'we are shutting down' stunt they pulled a few years back when they went out of Beta. During that time they 'shut down' the download servers without any prior notice and locked people from the games (and led them to believe GOG is closing).

It was a stupid stunt, and they have apologized like a million times (and swore to never repeat that) but some are still sore from that move.

The apology video that GOG released was very condescending and just made things worse. Took a LONG time before I bought anything from them again.

I also don't like GOG. For MANY reasons.

The most important one is that they don't accept brazilian credit cards, and when I asked if they play to do it in a near future, they answered NO in a very rough way.

Steam, Origin, Nuuvem... even that POS UPLAY accepts brazilian cards, but GOG doesn't even have any interest in doing so.

You know that GoG accepts Paypal, right? Just make a Paypal account, connect it with your credit card, and you're good to go.

Paypal doesn't accept brazilian credit cards either. Actually, Paypal works with international cards, but they aren't really Brazilian cards. I don't want one, since I would only use it on GOG (and GOG isn't worth it). International cards are expensive to mantain in here, and are only worth it when you plan on buying things from other countries.

The brazilian Paypal sucks, BTW. It doesn't accept bank transfers from most brazilian banks, doesn't accept local credit cards, has a HORRIBLE costume support (they don't even seem to understand Portuguese well enough!!).

Like I said before, I see no reason to use GOG. I can just use Steam, a service that DOES respect its Brazilian costumers. ^^

When even Paypal doesn't accept most kinds of Brazilian cards, you can't really blame GoG for not doing so.

And you have to realize that GoG is smaller than Steam, so it's harder for them to deal with credit card fraud. This has nothing to do with not respecting customers from Brazil.

They don't need to deal with anything. There's a service in here that is very similar to Paypal, called Pagseguro. It works like Paypal, but its a Brazilian service.

Steam, Nuuvem, Origin, and even Playstation Store use this. Its an amazing service, since the seller don't need to worry about anything related to payment.

GOG knows about this service (I even e-mailed them some detailed info about Pagseguro), yet they are not interested in using it.
