A lot has happened over the past couple months, I can hardly believe it.

Over the past couple of months, we've hit major milestones! These include completion of the game's OST, Completion of the game's coding and dialogue implementation (Now in the private debugging phase, QA tests will begin soon.), and nearing completion of the new art! Along with this, there has been a new game banner created!

Game OST Completion!

Our wonderful Luci Sheppy has completed the Foxlore OST! You can order it before the game goes live, it currently contains 13 tracks and you can get it for €7!

Art & Coding Completion!

We've been working hard over the past few months to maximize quality and speed in terms of production. Our official sprite artist Antiiconoclasm is pretty much done, and here's a few peeks at his work that will be in the game:

Demo: I can't interact with the other characters or enter March's house

I get that March's house is the furthest west on the street, but I can't seem to interact with the door or any of the other characters.

Foxlore December Devlog

Hello everyone, I hope you've had a wonderful month full of holidays!

I'll start out with the big news: We are rapidly approaching the end of development!

As per the tentative roadmap shared in the November devlog, this month has been filled with hard work from myself along with the Foxlore team! Puzzles have officially been completed and implementation & translation of dialogue is expected to be completed within the coming weeks. Exciting!

Given this news, you can expect a release date announcement in the next devlog! Now, here's a just a slice of what I've been working on over the past month.

Puzzles are done, you say?

Yup! While there will still be some refining to be done in the QA phase, puzzles are done! On top of this, it comes with new puzzle mechanics such as the ability to draw on puzzles!

Let There Be Light!

In addition to everything else, I've been hard at work creating and implementing a lighting system that improves the look of the game while still retaining the atmosphere.

In closing...

A lot of major announcements are right around the corner. I'm excited to share what we've made with you all, and I can honestly say that if this were a game I played, I would enjoy it. Foxlore's Demo & Nextfest was a success!

Over 1,000 users have claimed the Foxlore Demo! Wow, that's a lot of you!

Thanks to everyone for their support of the demo! This was an amazing opportunity to see people's first impressions of the game, the game mechanics, the art, and so much more! Additionally, shoutout to my QA testing group. Thanks to them, the demo was released with minimal speedbumps.

The ultimate point of the demo was to see the following things first-hand, given this is my first game:

What gameplay and puzzle mechanics players like best.
How to best walk the player through the story.
What players look for in dialogue.

The information that I've gained from this experience is being implemented into the entire game. A lot of game mechanics have been changed based on player feedback, and I believe the game has become something truly great already!

To preface, I have loved this game so far and am excited to continue the journey. I do recommend buying this game, however, you should wait a little while before playing so the creator can work out some kinks. 3 Hours in, right after leaving the "Church" (spoiler free placeholder name), I lost control of the character and was stuck outside the Gate. I closed the game and saw it had an update. I applied the update, reopened the game, ready to continue, and saw that I was at the very beginning of the game. Very sad. I am looking forward to continue (starting over if need be) after I finish Spirit of the North 2. (Minor bug outside the two major ones that incited this review, the bike puzzle dialogue and Doggle's puzzle dialogue will play after reentering their respective parts of the town) Again, loving the game, but it has some growing pains to sort out.

Having problems with using the lock picks in the demo.

For puzzle 2, I am only being given to use only five letters and I do not know how to solve this. Could you please give me the answer for this, because I do not know how to solve this puzzle?
