Still not working on (my) linux?
Today I got my mesa drivers updated and finally got 25.1.1, so thought I would buy it. But still can't even get past the initial "press Spacebar to continue" it just crashes. Any new fixes?

Did you try using Valve's version of Mesa?

Hey that's a grand idea, I'll go ahead and google how to do that. Any recommendation?
Dont you need an 8 core CPU to run this game? I specifically did a drop in upgrade because I didnt think that my 6 core would run this game. 12100f is only 4 cores.

Maybe to run it well, yes. But even the Oblivion remastered needs more than 4 cores and it still at least opens and plays for me, of course not at a very good framerate but still.
Also, here is at least 1 test that shows it runs.

Taken from this thread: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/8690

Might not work with non-arch distros but here's how I did it:
1. Download this: https://steamdeck-packages.steamos.cloud/archlinux-mirror/sources/jupiter-main/mesa-radv-24.3.0_devel.197257.steamos_24.11.10-1.src.tar.gz
2. extract the tar into a folder
3. go into the folder there should be a "PKGBUILD" in there
4. "makepkg -sic" in that folder
I couldn't get it running on Win11 or Linux Mint but then I added a Virtual Memory page file to the drive where the game lives and was able to start it. I think the game requires more than 16GB to run but relies on Windows Virtual Memory if you have 16GB. On Linux you probably need more RAM, could only get it working on Win11. ( I also have an i3-12100F )
