AMD 7900XT - constant driver timeout
Hi, I cannot enjoy this game at all. I am trying to play it but every x minutes the games freezes and I have that AMD pop-up about a driver timeout.

Has anyone encountered the same issue and found a solution to fix it?

This is the only game that I have this issue with.

Try lowering the quality.
I've seen this problem happen quite often with AMD graphics cards before, so you may need to find a more stable version of the GPU driver.
(Keep your current driver first, if there is no problem, do not update)

Don't worry if it shows driver timeout.
It's because of the new AMD update.

It's not crashing for me but I am having issues. You run the risk of haivng more issues going bakc, though

For me the issues started happening in chapter 3. I have tried searching reddit but no solution. Underlocking GPU didn't help.
i read that reinstall the gpu driver (driver-only install without adrenalin software) could help but i dont know. :P3:

I did it yesterday and nothing so far.

I have also tried underclocking my GPU by 5% and 10% and still nothing.
I had this same issue. Game would freeze and I would get a driver timeout about every 15 to 30 minutes. Funny thing, I uninstalled the steam version and installed the one from gamepass, hasn't crashed since. Don't know what's different, but something is.

I have spent a lot of money on this game. I am not going to invest money into Gamepass. Glad it worked for you.

I have tried using 25.4.1 drivers but the freeze is like a few seconds after I start a chapter. I walk around for like 3 seconds and then there is a freeze.

I have a second system - AMD 3700X and an Rx 6600 - using the latest AMD drivers 25.5.1, played about an hour with no problems running CPU/GPU at stock settings.
It isn't an end all be all fix; however, I have found that if you go into AMD adrenaline --> Gaming --> Doom Dark Ages --> Tune game performance --> custom tuning --> and change the voltage to 95 ish percent, it will still timeout but it will take more like 2 hours for it to timeout.

This is w/ a 7800xt + 7700x
Have you tried DDUing and reinstalling the driver? I'm on an RX 7900 XT and the 25.5.1 driver with no issues. Beaten the game twice, only had one crash and it wasn't a driver timeout.
I did some research and I found out that Adrenaline boosts your GPU clock to some crazy values.

Here are GPU clock values provided by manufacturer of my card:
GPU: Boost Clock: Up to 2450 MHz
GPU: Game Clock: Up to 2075 MHz

Adrenaline boosted it to 2780 MHz.

I have changed my clock in MSI Afterburner to 2450 MHz and no crashes. Be careful with this tool - it can cause a permanent damage to your card - read some manuals and articles before using it.

Same. No game crashes using an RX 7900 XTX (stock clocks) and Adrenalin 25.5.1 (minimal driver install type, default settings) using the DDU tool to uninstall the previous driver completely.
