i cant seem to get any of the commands to work, how do i add bots into a game?

Commands work for MPA not MPI.

There are several MPI maps out there (there should be more, but they're kinda hard to make!). Select a map with an M next to it, and you'll be able to play with friends against an enemy base.

If you just want to play against an AI all by your lonesome, there are many Instant Action Maps available from the workshop. Go to the workshop and select the "Single Player" check box. To play an instant action map, go in game to "Single Player" then select "Instant Action" in the lower right.
