The reason they bundle all 3 games in 1 is because of what happened to Left4Dead and similar multiplayer games. People were very upset when L4D2 came out and all of the levels and characters were split between the two games. You couldn't play what you wanted to with whom you wanted until all of the content from L4D1 was patched into the sequel. At least that's how I look at it.
Extremely poor marketing.
Maybe this is answered elsewhere, but do original owners of the games, not get the updates unless they buy the Trilogy pack? Again, unclear wording on the product pages.
So sad.
In "Nazi Zombie Army 1 & 2" you can't play with people they have the Cut Version like people from Germany because the game is called there "Zombie Army German Edition"
That is the only reason they made this and not because of people getting upset!
If they are care about people getting upset, then why is the german version censored?
I bougth NZA 1 & 2 in Uncut because i hate it getting censored and that is the reason i don't buy this one here on steam!
So i am upset because of this cr** they made because our law said "If you are 18 or older you are allowed to buy/import and own such games"...But Rebellion is scared to give us the Uncut and talking shi* about our laws!
When Xbox One and PS4 came out, they managed to release Zombie Army Trilogy on it. Not having the first 2 games, it would make sense to put it all out in this one for console gamers.
Thing is, they had a loyalty discount and they stopped it, which is bad. Doesn't make you less loyal after the time limit... I think they removed it from preventing people to buy it at a discount price and gift it after.
ZAT differs from the previous NZAs in the following :
- Horde mode gameplay available, solo and coop
- Never seen before Horde map, Dead Man's Bluff (all previous Sniper Elite games)
- Female characters selectable
- Different sniping mechanism (you'd have to compensate a lot more for a 50 meters shot than you would do in the previous game with the same weapon)
- Improved enemy setup (FOR ELITE PLAYERS giving you A LOT MORE enemies than x4 everywhere, even the first chapters)
- 5 new missions to complete the story where NZA2 left off.
- New enemies like the Chainsaw Elite (big dude running with chainsaw), the Armored Elite (big armored grunt walking slowly with Wolverine's hands towards you) and the final boss.
- Remastered zombie grunt, they move and appear differently
- Armored zombies & skeletons (slower too)
- MG-42 turrets are now less powerful against grunts, but more for Elites.
- You can sever enemy body parts, removing legs, arms, head, you name it.
- Kick attack can be used to finish off a zombie on the ground and preventing them from spawning.
- Kick attack will kill a skeleton if its heart is exposed.
- Improved enemies attack, such as;
-- Fire Demon throws fire ball, dealing extreme damage and catching all zombies in fire within the blast;
-- Fire Demon spawns fire zombies around him
-- Fire zombies don't run fast anymore, and they die with one shot no matter where
-- Fire zombies are dying upon contact with a player, dealing damage (in previous NZAs they were attacking you)
-- Summoners will revive every grunt in the area and curing amputation on zombies if he's still alive.
-- Enemies with severed legs can still resuscitate and crawl to get you, especially Armored Elites.
-- Armored grunts deal more damage than regular grunts.
-- Chainsaw Elite will run to you fast and try to rip you with its big chainsaw.
-- Armored Elite can dash to attack you if he's close enough to jump.
Ran out of ideas, I think that sums it all.
It is not a game pack or a bundle of any sorts. It is a game by itself, containing the first 2 Nazi Zombie Army campaigns in it. They're divided as episodes, 1st episode contains the campaign from NZA1, 2nd episode contains the campaign from NZA2, and 3rd episodes are the new missions.
Also, there is no such thing as an ''update'' from previous games. This is another game.
I'll say again, it is NOT a game pack. It is a game by itself containing the previous games campaign in it. Simple as that.
Zombie Army Trilogy is still cut in Germany. You won't see red flags and anything that has Nazi symbols will be replaced with iron crosses.
ZAT is a consolified version where you run around kicking zombies with occasional sniping and headshots.
Yes I'm exaggerating but it's easier for me to get my point made that way than to list the changes ZAT made to the franchise. ;)
Well, the "trilogy" contains the previous 2 games (remastered with the new engine) and the new 3rd game.
If you own NZA1&2, you can still play those games like before. But you can also get the remastered edition inside the trilogy.
Yes, agree. Bad marketing. But I must say, good game.
=)
