The scoring system in this game is laughbly dumb!

Firstly, all that is required to continue a combo is to land a shot on an enemy, with whatever weapon. How is that a "combo" if you're not even using the same weapon? Isn't that more like a chain?... if anything at all.

Secondly, combo time is infinite -- you can literally not shoot for an hour and your combo count still remains! Even RE Mercenaries "combo" system is more demanding than that!

Thirdly, the fact you can just hit a body mass to continue combo means that anything but the SGs are uselss (for combos). SGs hardly need to be aiimed; the 12-gauge has tons of ammo, both in the chamber and in reserve; head shots with SGs can be achieved even from body shots; seemingly only a single SG shell pellet needs to land for the combo to remain... BROKEN.

Finally, there is no incentive to use rifles, much less scoped, when combos only reward Gears of Bore like shotty scrubbery. Not only are Horde maps too small for true, effective rifle use in anything but particular circumstance (i.e., those fluorescent, 'toxic' sniper zombie flyers), but head shots, no matter how distant or relatively skill orientated, aren't rewarded accordingly.

Given all this, the scoring system is 'pointless' and therefore Horde mode is made similarly useless, beyond one's wave count. I know Horde mode is new, but even so, it feels dumbed down from what it should / could be.
