How to kill the machinegunner in the church
Can't kill the machine gunning nazi in the church in the Berlin story. Have hit him 2X w/the Panzerfaust and he still keeps coming. How do I put this mofo down?

headshots, panzerfausts do a little damage to them but headshots do more

About 12 headshots will do it, lie prone and ensure you have time for 12 shots before he is too close or move when he throws his head back.

Jeez, 12 headshots? OK, I'll give it a go, thanks!

Gah, same bit, haha

set traps with dynamite to do large amounts of damage and will stun him. He is also hidiously ineffective at range, often killing zeds in front of him trying to shoot you. This can be used to stun a moving horde. or you could just kill them all

Does he get harder with more players? We had three, with one dedicated to just headshotting the bugger. We fell back, and when he got to the top of the stairs (after four direct grenade hits and three mines) I put a stack of 6 webley shots into his head. Two othe guys in the room were unloading into him point blank, right into his head.

He didn't drop.

Unless our top guy is spectacularly crap, he had to have had 12+ headshots by the end. If I gussed, it'd be 20+, along with a dozen bodyshots and the grenades and mines.

his difficulty doesnt change, i take one down in a 4 man group with 12ish headshots

the most likely story is that your 'top' player is spectauclarly crap.
the best weapon to use against the Elite Gunners, is the double-barrelled shotgun known as the Preacher. they fall victim to that with only 4-5 direct hits from it.

the Panzerfaust can down them pretty quickly too, if you have more than 3 rockets on hand. but as someone above already mentioned, if you use a Dynamite-based trap with the Panzerfaust together on an Elite Gunner, they'll suffer from extreme damage due to the huge explosion.

panzerfaust seems useless against them to me. Put 5 into a gunner, 3 in the head, and didn't do any noticable damage. At least in my experience it feels like the panzerfaust is best used as crowd control

I remember hearing something about certain weapons in the "Zombie Army Trilogy" being slightly nerfed, sometime after the game's release. because in the original 2 games, the Panzerfaust is quite devastating against hordes of zombies/skeletons, and deals quite a bit of damage against the Elite Gunners when combined with a well-placed Dynamite trap.
LOOOL, WITH RIFLE U HAVE TO SHOOT LIKE 20 HEADSHOTS, ADD ME IF U WANT I LIKE TO KILL THAT RATS

i don't think i use more than 2 clips in the Gewehr, but maybe it's 3. I'll count next time. Lie prone and take your time. But be near cover so you can run and reposition if needed. Make every bullet count.

It is worth noting that the gunners are more durable in the NZT remakes than in the original two

yeah its basically the TF2 heavy who's only vulnerable to headshots. Explosive traps seem to hurt him too though

I remember that dude from Snpier Elite: Nazi Zombie Army. He just keeps coming and scares the bajeezus outta ya. I was throwing grenades, shooting, setting mines, but noooo!
