What is the best sniper rifle to use in this game?
I use the karabiner (not karambit like I said earlier, this is a typo edit). But I am wondering if I am not wasting my time. It has 5 bullets, slow firing time and I don't even know if it's the most powerful rifle either?

Your thoughts anyone?

You mean the karabiner 98, a karambit is a SouthEast Asian knive.
I would suggest to use the gewehr 43, 10 round semi auto.

LOL Yes, I indeed do mean to say Karabiner LOL. (I play CS-go too, hence the mix up)

I will try the Gewehr next time I play. thanks

YUP, seems like a pretty good gun for this game. More bullets, less reload time and faster firing rate. Ripped through the KEEP on Sniper Elite with 4 players!

M1 Carbine is my choice, once you work the dip out it works wonders with the lower power scope.
I like the Mosin Nagant and Type-99 myself, due to it having near-pinpoint accuracy
I have noticed the difference of the gameplay for these guns between zombies and regualar sniper elite.

I like the M91/30 sniper rifle and the Type-99. The Type-99 I like cause of its larger magazine, I like the M91/30 cause its just seems to hit where you want it to. I noticed early on in this game high powered zoom you dont need as you are engaging at fairly close distances compared to Sniper Elite series. Then again for me that is what I noticed.

I actually enjoy the M1 Carbine. It doesn't do well with those crazy-long-range shots, but for close-mid I can pop off headshots like nothing else. Low recoil, 15rnd mag, and pretty fast fire rate. I typically use the shotgun and Webley as my other two for the stopping power, but the M1 Carbine, Mosin, and M1D are my favorite primaries.

I go with a fully international loadout--Gewehr rifle (German), PPSH SMG (Russian), and Colt .45 (US). But each player will surely have their own preferences.
Be aware, though, that the Gewehr has a low muzzle velocity, thus you must adjust "high" if firing on a very distant target.

M1 carbine. It's so easy to get the hang of it.

Ive been doing single player and found out I am not using the sniper rifle as much as I thought I would. I stopped playing after I did the hold your position and clear the courtyard. For me the game I had it put in such a way just to be a way to relax and I found myself more tense trying to avoid the zombies as well as keeping my ammo in check. I do like the challenge but thought it would be more like L4D or L4D2 where you have slow points to resupply.

Seriouslly thinking about trying the Type 99 rifle when I play again.
actually, that really is a downside to this game. no sniping.... no stealth...
It's kinda frustrating at times when the enemy knows where you are exactly all the time...

I dont mind that, but I do find a dislike I guess you could say for how close quarters the game is and then your primary weapon is a long range rifle. If they would have the zombies be all slow instead of these progressivly faster zombies it would be fine. But I understand also that the game has to be a challenge to keep it interesting.
