Hello! As always I want to start by thanking all the people who continue to wishlist and follow the game. It's really encouraging to see the continued interest, even with the slow pace of these updates.

There's been lots of new systems coming online since the last update, and continued iteration on existing systems to ensure everything has the right feel, fun, and balance. Including:

Characters

A long desired feature of mine, characters are finally in the game. Though not fully featured yet, they come with traits and can be assigned to ships and colonies to provide powerful bonuses. Creating your own characters, finding characters lost in space, and progressing characters are all on the to-do list for the full feature.

Planet Destruction

What sci-fi 4X would be complete without planet destruction? Not this one. Once the aliens discover one of your colonies they will stop at nothing to destroy it. Eventually sending planet killers - massive ships, bristling with weapons, and capable of destroying entire worlds (see below for a preview)

Economy

Production is no longer a global resource, instead production is local to each colony. However, when colonies are connected together by a jump network they can share resources. Meaning that a colony specialized in mining can directly support a colony specialized in ship production - so long as you protect and maintain the connection.
