Difference Standard vs. Pro
Hello!
Have seen on the website, there are two version, a standard one (which is the same, as here on steam, If I'm not wrong) and a pro version.
But I'm not so sure, what are the differences?
I found something about Screenshots (Highres und transparent Background Screenshots, which are not possible in std.) and video, but that couldn't be the only difference?

You can import and export track spline data in the professional version, you can setup a custom friction for the coasters and you can password protect the package files. The professional licence also allows you to use videos and screenshots for commercial purpose, that's all. The full comparision list can be found there[nolimitscoaster.com]

Omg ... somehow I've totally overseen the comparsion table on this site *lol* ... must be the heat (it's so hot right now, Satan asked if he could move in (germany)).

Thx, for the answer.

Steam is just like the Standard version. Both can be upgraded to Pro with a professional license from our site. If you have a Pro key the Steam version will recognize it and open up the professional features.

Is it possible to purchase the Pro upgrade directly from Steam as a DLC? There is a DLC tab in the game properties.

We were looking at that option, but ultimately decided it would be easier to sell Pro upgrades directly from our site. The same Pro upgrade process works for both the Steam and Stand Alone versions.

Can the Pro upgrade be activated directly in the Steam client?

The activation is done within NoLimits 2. From the main menu, click Info, then upgrade from there.

What would be needed to record 4K60FPS on max settings? Wondering if I have the power to do it (R9 290, i7 3770K 4.2GHz, 12GB DDR3)

Rode_Op, Is it still the case that you cannot buy the Professional version on Steam? I would really love to buy it through steam. Thanks.

^^ Sorry for the delayed response. The beauty of our built in video capture is that it will take as long as necessary to render each frame. The resulting video file will be a perfect 60 fps even if the original park did not play at a full 60 fps.

^ The Professional upgrade is only available on our site, but you can use that key to upgrade your Steam version. All professional features are unlocked in Steam if you get the upgrade key from our site.

Wonder how long that would take to film that in motion blur.

The beauty of our built-in video capture is that your computer power doesn't matter that much. The video capture will spend as much time as necessary to render each frame. The final file will be 4k 60 FPS or whatever you choose. Even if your computer can only give you 25-35 FPS in a particular park, you can use the video capture to get a constant 60 FPS.
