NoLimits 2 Roller Coaster Simulation

NoLimits 2 Roller Coaster Simulation

Can't start in VR with HTC Vive
Having trouble starting this in VR, I've followed all the guides and made sure theatre mode is turned off, as well as having everything up-to-date and running the beta SteamVR.

When I try to start the game it says Nolimit 2 roller coaster simulation doesn't support VR.

StreamVR is running
Everything is up to date, including firmware and fresh install of no limits 2
I'm running the demo version
Minimum specs are met

Also, after I click ok from the first error, I get an error message saying Direct3D 11 Renderer is required. Anny suggestions?

Sleazy, we've been finding that double clicking the demo NoLimits 2 exe file outside of running it through the Steam interface works. We are investigating that further, and note that it only applies to the demo.

Michael, you have a different issue. We've updated to be compatible with Oculus runtime 1.3 and up. 0.8 is out of date now. We recommend you upgrade to 1.3. If you can't for some reason, right click NoLimits 2 in Steam and chose properties. Under beta choose the version that's older and meant for Oculus Rift 0.8.

Minimum specs are not sufficent for VR mode. You need at least a DirectX 11 GPU.
I'm using a gtx 970, is that not powerful enough for it?

Are you using the --d3d9 command line parameter? If yes, you must not use it.
Ohh possibly, stupid question but do you know how I can change it? :)

Yes. Inside Steam, right click on NL2 (Demo) in your games list...

-> Properties
-> GENERAL
-> SET LAUNCH OPTIONS
-> Make sure the field is completely empty
-> click OK and close Properties

I found it to work if you turn off VR STEAM in the steam program , and then launch the game with steam vr off. it will ask if you want to run in vr mode on launch. works for me. let me know if it works for you guys as well.
I think it's a problem with my Windows, I'm still using windows 7 so gonna upgrade to 10 and try that out at the weekend, thanks for the suggestions guys

Same here, i tried to run No limit 2 demo from steam and i got this message : VE Device cannot be used. Direct3D11 Renderer is required. Use --d3d11 command line option.

So when i tried --d3d11 in lauch option i get this message : Direct3D 11 cannot be used because the graphics card is not supporting all required features.
Falling back to Direct3D 9...

My cards are 2 GTX titans.

Thanks for help.

Might be a problem with a corrupted d3dcompiler_43.dll

VR Device cannot be used. Direct3D 11 Renderer is required. Don't use --d3d9 command line option.

Hi Cal2012,
