Copy/Paste so simple???

I am trying to copy a track I just built. Then bring it into the same arena, so I will have 2 of the same tracks (coasters). But for some reason I can not figure this out . I have tried to import while have the track open, wont let me do that. There is no copy/paste for anything except for the supports.
Any help would be appreciated.

Select the vertices for the part of the track which you would like to keep. Next, on the Elements tab, save that as an Element. Then add that element. This will help if you want it to be part of the same coaster (for a racing or dueling coaster). Alternately you can import the coaster from the same map to create a separate coaster, though it won't be part of the same coaster.

There is one catch: the roll nodes will all be 'strict.' IDK if there's a reason for that or if it's a bug.

thanks for the reply, I did get what i needed saved as a element, but now, when I go to add that element, a window pop up wanting to mirror and whatever else its said , option to check mark each one, then click OK, but nothing nothing!

Mirroring will mirror your element left/right. The other option...need to look into. The scale option allows you to make the element larger or smaller. After clicking OK the element should appear in the scene somewhere. It may be appearing in the middle of the area or screen, or possibly higher/lower than you expect. It should be there somewhere though. It may not appear directly on top of the track you first selected.

SOLVED:

Hey guys, Thanks for all the input, with your help I did manage to figure this out. My problem was the file system ( which I think is a little different than the normal computer filing system)
So others don't make the same brainfart as me, After choosing all the vertexes that I needed, I was saving it has a "regular " file. it WOULD save that way, but it would not add to my current arena. Reading back thru the post what was said, I didn't see the icon in the left panel light up, "save as element". This is where I went wrong. After saving it that way, it worked perfectly as planned.

Thanks a bunch, and BTW, my headache is gone!!
