Armor Increases

I've got a Street Samurai that has the Ares Dermal Plating Alpha and armor that has a rating of 5. The dermal plating is +2 armor, yet my armor rating overall is still 5. Shouldn't it be at least 7 with the dermal plating and the armor I have?

how do you know your armor's 5? there's occasional display bug which you can fix by equip/reequip or buff/debuff spells (these make it recalculate). but afaik game uses correct value in combat regardless.

What I noticed is you need to get through a fight once before the new armour value displays properly.
