EAC isn't new and isn't dangerous. It means nothing.
Allowing the user to pick between protected and non-protected like MCC does would be preferable.
7 days to die has this on pc, you can play the game with EAC enabled or Disabled, if your using a mod that uses custom code it basically requires it to be disabled as EAC will let the code run which then breaks the entire mod/overhaul.
Besides EAC is not going to stop much, people will just use a save editor to cheat most likely and thats done from outside the game itself so EAC won't do jack to stop that. EAC is also quite easy to bypass, most anti-cheats seem to be anyway as people still cheat like hell no matter what anti-cheat thing the game uses they find a way. I personally never cheat in a game because if your going to cheat why even play the game in the first place?
Those can prob be messed up with a save editor, since all that sort of stuff would be saved to the save and they can just edit the values. I never believe rankings in any game as 98% of the time most of the people there have cheated to get there.
