Ending Spoiler Question
So I'm wondering if there's a change in the story ending on whether or not you destroy a certain object in Ginormosia. I'm aware it can weaken the end boss, but I'm almost inclined to leave the object intact as to keep the battle challenging. I'm at 50 for my combat class but faceroll 60+ enemies rather easily with my buddies and only 3 star weapons/armor. I worry weakening the boss might destroy any challenge but I'm also concerned by not doing so might have changes to the story I'll miss since the game expects you to do it.

It doesn't affect anything at all, the cutscenes are the same whether you destroy the object or not, no one mentions it besides Edward pressuring you to destroy said object.

The only difference is how fast you can destroy the final boss, as I absolutely dominated it in 5 seconds after destroying the object, while friends that neglected doing Ginomorsia until post-game took 10-15 minutes doing the fight.

It's worth noting, as well, that apparently you can replay those battles, at the different power level, at your own choice later. (I think Edward's supposed to offer that option).

Not destroying it makes the dragon LV99, but the boss after stays at a laughable LV60 regardless. At LV70, the dragon took a little bit, followed by absolutely curb-stomping the final final boss.

Btw, after beating it, you can (re)fight either version again by talking to the guy in the hat (I forget his name).

Awesome, thanks. That was the biggest concern I had. Destroying it was made to seem as if it had some significant impact on the story due to the nature of said object. But if it amounts to just a weaker boss I might be better off just saving the rest for post-game.
