any way to earn free platinum ?
i really wish to buy some nice skins

Not currently. Its premium currency for a reason.

What's frustrating is that skins can be purchased for platinum only, and not a high gold markup. I'd use the "well it's just cosmetic" argument but this company has used that explanation (and subsequently abandoned it a year later) in other games.

You are going to have to pay real money. It is worth it to look cool, though :P

Just make sure you buy the skin and not the hero.

Ages ago you would get a skin, then it was changed to a random reward of either skin, plat or gold.
Now it's always platinum.

You confirmed your email back when the reward (or one of the possible ones) was the skin.

You don't get both.The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is now exclusive and they don't give it out anymore. The only way to get free platinum is through email verification and DLC giveaways.

As far as I am aware, there isn't a way to get both. If they did, they either got a bug or they were hacking the game itself. Also, I don't think that you can actually get 100 platinum in one transaction, I think 330 is the smallest you can get.

Maybe it's something to do with him having actually been a player who bought the game, I don't know.
