What Was With That Music.

The music in the main trailer seemed really inapropiate for the WH40k Genre as a whole. truthfully it was a good trailer and I love anything 40k and I hope to enjoy this just as much as I did vermitide. Game looks good but the song in the trailer kinda made me go "What The ♥♥♥♥? Is this 40k?" I want to knw your guyses opinions on the trailer and ♥♥♥♥. Looks good to me, but the song, the song was a terrible choice.

The song was "Walking with a Ghost" by Kadebostany - they are a French Studio and that song had just gone big in Europe at the time they started work on the game. I would chalk it's selection up to cultural differences.

I think the videos are visually really appealing, but they don't really convey any useful information about the game. Yes I see it's about terminators against tyranids but they feel more like intro cinematics rather than proper trailers; they don't really contain anything about the game or how it is played at all. The trailers could as effectively be associated with any Space Hulk property from the TBS game to the original boardgame.

I could see they were going for the whole "licensed song(preferable slow version of a classic) over slow mo images of battle" -thing that everyone has been doing since the Gears of War 2/Mad World trailer, but it was a TERRIBLE match for a 40k video. It's set 38,000 years in the future! Barely anything from today's society is relatably to that era. It just doesn't fit.
(Not to mention the only "music" around would be the sound OF THE NOISE MARINES BLARING THEIR WEAPONS UNTIL YOUR EYES MELT AND YOUR HEAD EXPLODES!)

My personal preferance; i would have prefered music that was more 'twist' loving 'pound'; by the end of the song and video, it began to remind me of a "spageti western's" last stand sort of thing.

I found that sort of fitting at that point.. since its NOT a sure thing those DeathWing terminators were going to win out... hehe.

Look, we get enough "Grimdark campy" WH40K stuff all the time. Every once in a while, something different isn't bad. The trailer's well done. If it had that music and the trailer wasn't very well edited, then I could see being kind of miffed at it, but as it is, it's a pretty slick trailer and the way it works with the music is pretty sweet.

Just because it's 40k doesn't mean it has to be boring. As many games as I've played that deals with the Space Marines (Over, and over, and over), something that stands out like the above mentioned trailer definitely sticks with you.

I agree. Please change the music to something epic that fits the warhammer 40k universe. This would improve the advertising a lot. The current song is a bad choice and ruins the first impression. Especially for Warhammer 40k fans who are your target group.

Well, that was the most inapropriate music for WH40K I've ever heard in WH40K game trailer or any other media. Adding the english words on the blade you can see in the trailer, the whole thing makes me suspitious if devs even care about grimdark gothic atmosphere of the setting.
