I'm not sure what the pitchfork crowd is going on about. The cats look beautiful and mesmerizing, if the developers are using AI they SHOULD. AI is a great creative tool and can make games immensely more beautiful, more intelligent and way more interesting.

Yes I actually WANT a video game where an NPC is a character played by Chat GPT, feeling like I'm talking to a real character and not being fed the same 3-4 prerecorded lines by some terrible cheap voice actor. Yes I want an endless cosmetics and character generator powered by Midjourney. It would be endless creativity and high quality!

We need MORE AI in video games! Not less! It's only going to make video games much better.

Ragebait or not, there are people who tend to think the way you do. People like you are the type to never give an effort into anything, whether it's creating or consuming a certain type of media. You don't care about the passion, effort and soul that actual developers put into their games to deliver. You don't care about the process and that great feeling of all of it being paid off. You don't care what actual developers go through to create a game. And you don't care what message or meaning lies behind the games. You and those who support such things just consume, consume and consume, without a thought behind it. AI might be able to generate such things in the trailer, but nothing will change the fact that it's very low-effort and contains no passion behind it.

You can argue with me or just post an answer saying "cope harder <3", but nothing will change the fact that people do not appreciate low-effort products. There is a reason why indie-games and even some AAA-games such as Elden Ring, Red Dead Redemption, Hollow Knight, etc. are so beloved. Even older titles are still talked about to this day.
