Can you always dig in your cell's floor?

On my first game, I dug a hole in my cell floor with a Trowel. I say a small hole, and the more I dug, the bigger the hole was.

On my second game, I tried the same. However, even if the digging percentage is at 100% (complete), there is no hole at all, I only end up with a pile of dirt. The floor tile where I dug cannot be affected again by the trowel. It's the same everywhere in my cell.

Is that a bug?

I got the same, so it was vent crawling time.

Seems to be a bug where the hole graphic isn't showing now and then. I think it has the hole placed underground when it should always appear on the 'layer' you're on. Hopefully will be sorted next build

So can you crawl in the tunnel anyway if the sprite isn't showing?

No you can't. The "Down Arrow" is not showing. I tried.

Yeah. I haven't been able to dig out yet because of this bug.

I just got this bug. Previously I had been sent to solitary because they discovered evidence of digging (I was in the tunnel at the time), after that my tunnel holes had been repaired. I tried redigging a tunnel from my cell, it failed wherever I dug, as above. Quit and continue doesn't seem to fix it, so I'm not able to dig down currently. I wonder if it's because I got busted while inside the tunnel.

I never got busted for digging and still can't dig a hole. It says I dug it and even leaves dirt behind but there's no hole.

Yeah same, and you also get busted for it, what i've done is that i pickaxed the wall to maintenance and put a poster instead.

Then started digging a hole in maint and it worked fine.

Please find a fix for this soon- seems like I'm going to get busted at some point since I have two invisible holes in my room - Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try what you said and digging in another area, if that works I'll be able to continue playing.

This happened to me as well. The hole animation never appeared. Even after the hole was finished their was no hole. And it wouldnt let me redig it.

I tried digging 3 times, never got the bug, but I was caught all 3 times (I was behind a wall where I was sure they could not see me.) The warden even went by my cell twice and I wasn't caught, but some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ inmate led a few cops to my cell and I got caught the moment the first one went within the same tile-line as me, I got caught, etc etc. I feel like they gave the wardens a bit too much power, like they can see through doors and walls, and they INSTANTLY know when something is missing, and some of the weirdest things are contraband like a bed dummy, dirt, and puddy, I mean you can't do anything bad with them (The bed dummy is 2 pillows in a sheet, come on -_-) dirt is everywhere, and puddy is puddy
