HOW TO FIX NOT SAVING!!!
OK, so I had this problem to where my Far Cry 4 wasn't saving so I checked around and I found out that it actually was saving but the game wasn't reading where the save was at. Here is how you fix that. FIRST OFF TRY RUNNING GAME AS ADMINISTRATOR FIRST!!!!!

1. Go to your Far Cry 4 installed file usually C: / Program Files (x86) / Ubisoft / FarCry 4
2. Find the bin folder and click on the "SaveGames" Folder
3. Copy the saves in the folder (Should be marked 1, 2, 3, and so forth)
4. Go to your documents and find your ubisoft folder (if not create one)
5. Create a folder inside that ubisoft folder "Far Cry 4"
6. Inside that folder make another one called "SaveGames"
7. Paste the files you found in the bin SaveGames folder you copied earlier.
8. Load Far Cry 4 and enjoy.

P.S. Not sure if this fixes all the save issues but it resolved mine. If your game didn't save at all then I have no idea and try the steps 4-8 and when it saves exit the game and see if it saved.

:) You're welcome

Which folder contains your save data, the one with file GamerProfile.xml?
Riskem Nov 19, 2014 @ 1:18am
Reread step one, and I see where the GameProfile.xml is located. Your game should most likely not be installed in the Documents > My Games. If you don't know how to find out where it is. Go to steam and right click on your game > click on properties > then local data tab > browse local files. Then do all the steps that I posted on the top :)

All you have to do is run the game as admin. That solves everything.

Try creating one Fellvoy, and try step number 4. I know there is a lot of different reasons of why the saves aren't working but you just have to keep trying until you get it. Hopefully if you create the folder like I had to it will fix it.

Oh yeah and do what r Y o says too, running it as admin could help you too

Hi. I tried this and it didn't work. Will lodge a complaint with Ubisoft

I deleted following directories:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames"
"C:\Users\%username%\Documents\My Games\Far Cry 4"

And the Cloud files worked, now it's everything ok

I just tried this. It worked at first but then went back to the previous state a little after. I'm guessing the game writing these profiles caused it. This is way too game breaking to still be around.

Somehow i found that my saved game wasn't in the Far Cry 4 folder that i used to install it (D: steam games\common files\Far Cry 4, instead it was in my Documents\My Games\Far Cry 4: I don't know exactly why this change happened after i did 73% of the game but anyway, if it can be of any help, try checking your documents for the saved game.

I can't find my Far cry 4 save folder anywhere! It's not in the steam folders, and I can't find it in documents...... this is so messed up

That's just utter nonsense.
