Don't suck with the bow then.
Screw the gay ass bow. I didn't buy a FPS to use a damn bow. If the Desert Eagle was removed that's just another reason not to buy this game, so far it's a step backwards from Far Cry 3 anyway...
But, seriously ... a D50? That's your defining characteristic for the game? Good grief.
My current, "only Pagan left to kill" loadout is: Sidearm grenade launcher; silenced Z93 sniper rifle; "Shredder" signature silenced SMG; Buzz Saw signature LMG. I can go loud, I can go quiet, but however I go, people tend to die with each pull of the trigger. Sometimes LOTS of people, all at once.
(Nothing beats the joy of popping a convoy into scrap metal from the air, in a Buzzer, using that sidearm grenade launcher ... NOTHING.)
FC4 is not a step backwards. I'm enjoying it far more. It looks better, plays better (although maybe not, I'm using a GTX 980, so it damn well should) and has an okay storyline (might be better, I restarted the game like 8% into it). I only wish there was an option to manage saves, it's annoying. The main character is also not as much as an unlikable jackass like Jason Brody was either.
Only difference is that I use the SA## semi-auto sniper, Buzzsaw, sidearm nade launcher, and auto-cross.
But really, who needs anything when you have the buzzsaw? 400 round clip, each round does sniper level damage, and it reloads faster than most other weapons.
The Shredder is an AWESOME stealth gun - silenced, very very rapid fire, good ammunition reserve, extremely accurate to medium range.
The Z93, with all attachments (especially the silencer) is incredible for clearing outposts quietly, from a long way off. Also, it can one-shot even a Heavy Trooper, if you pot them in the head.
And the 'nade launcher, well ... it's a Sidearm, so you can fire it while driving a car/truck/boat, or while piloting a Buzzer.
...
Each gun shines in it's own circumstances. :)
I'd argue that the auto-cross is better than the shredder. You never have to worry about ammo, and it will one-shot any human with a headshot. Not sure about the later heavies with better helmets, but those I do takedowns since that rewards far more experience and they move so slowly it's best to leave them last for stealth gameplay. Plus it costs much, much less, although money isn't really an issue.
Not true. Not enough damage and bullets in the mag. Now if you went for headshots, then most likely yes.
But if you really rounded a corner with four guys firing at you, you would run back and get cover. Then you'd either pick them off with your silent weapon or simply pull out the buzzsaw and chew through them.
