Are there any snakes in Far Cry 4? I'm terrified of snakes.... :(

Hey guys, Played far cry 3, but never really enjoyed it cuz i was always terrified of a damn snake popping up and biting me.... you know the first one at the bottom of the tower on the 1st mission? well scared the living ♥♥♥♥ out of me and i was always affraid of snakes being in the damn grass just waiting to ♥♥♥♥ me over............

I so hope they dropped the snakes in #4, i really want to pre order it but haven't seen any info on whether they have snakes as wildlife in $#4 or not..

Can anyone confrim or deny anything ? thx in advance :) your fellow scare of snakes gamer :)

I literally walked every inch of the first part of the map you open (first tower you deactivate) and I have seen just 1 or 2 snakes....

So, they are there...but numbers are clearly smaller...

And yes, there are a feew ... a VERY VERY few. I think I've seen them ... three times? Maybe four? In over thirty hours of play.

It's normal to have that phobia in real life but are you really that scared of playing the game because of a virtual snake that probably won't show up more than 2 times during the whole game?

Yep, there are snakes like people have said. ):
I'd say play it to try to get over your fears, but if you told me to get on a rollorcoster, I'd tell you to ♥♥♥♥ off and Im not even at the level of being scared of them in game.

Yes there are snakes. I was just playing Co-op on the PS4 and we entered a tower. My friend started climbing. I stayed down below and killed on of the guys guarding the tower only to step on a snake immediatly after. Then in the excitment of seeing the snake biting my arm, I ran around and stepped in the fire. So now I was on fire with a snake bitting me. I am not sure what killed me first, the fire or the snake but It was a scary and hilarious death.

Turns out, phobias aren't rational, guys. That's kind of part of the definition.

Yes, there are snakes. I encountered 3 in one mission early in the game and was pretty fed up with them by the end, though I don't have a real life fear of them so it was just annoying, not panic inducing.

It's spiders, for me. I was able to deal with Skyrim, but it was a challenge. At least those ones were often on the ground. When they're dropping on you all over the place, forget it.

I completed the game with that phobia. FC3 was much worse in that case. In FC4 I met them in one mission on open terrain and after this next to one radio tower, but I think that was some bug. After this I never met them in open area. There are not even in caves like in FC3. You can met few in border mountains area of the map, where path is very tight. You can met snake's also in the find package side missions (they are in caves) and one hunt mission where you need to kill 2 areas full of them. But - you can use hunt potion to see them through ground/walls from far and then kill them with distance or explosive weapons (hint - if you kill snake with granade launcher, the dead body will dissapear). In this hunt side mission use rocket launcher with attachment - the missile will come from air and kill everything on big area. The second group is in underground cave - throw grenades there, there will be 3 left enought far to come down and kill them. Ofcourse you don;t need to complete this mission (those missions only spawn snakes, they are not there before) but if you want 100% score you need to ;)
