Far Cry 4 in 2024.

Good afternoon everyone. Would any of you recommend this game in 2024?

From what I have heard about it, many people adore the game's antagonist, setting and game-play, though I am also aware that many people will consider it inferior to Far Cry 3, which is still considered the best in the whole franchise.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts and opinions.

its better then FC 3
just for the M 79 nade launcher and the mini helicopter that makes getting around the map much easier then FC 3

plus its fun to use both of those and rain down hell from above on enemy trucks


plus fc 3 did not have throwing Knives you could use as silent weapons other then a few lil side activities

it also has more weapons then FC 3 had

just don't buy it on steam if you want a working map editor , steam broke that in 2019 .. get a ubi only copy , if the map editor is important to you

plus all STEAM adds is more DRM to the game ..no matter what you must use UBI CONNECT as that's where all the achievements are and UBI also handles all co op and MP connection

its still one of my favorite games to play and i bought it 10 yrs ago

oh and the MP you probably wont find many matches

about a month after the game shipped in 2014 the hackers released trainers that totally ruin the multiplayer giving unlimited ammo hacks and god mode ..makes the MP no fun and the game has no anti cheat built in

it pretty much killed the Multiplayer

and no you can not play the single player missions in co op , like you can in later titles like far cry 5 and 6

co op is limited

but its still a fun single player game , and the DLC for valley of the yeti and the escape from durgesh DLC you can play in co op . and face it killing yeti's = fun

they chuck rocks at you if you get up high where they can't reach you .. i damn near fell out of my chair laughing the first time it happened to me

Honestly, I'm glad that Far Cry 4 has a cult following at all, considering how many die-hard Far Cry fans will only swear by Far Cry 3, something I frankly have really grown tired of hearing about.

It's always Far Cry 3 this and Far Cry 3 that.

The story and characters might be a bit better in Far Cry 3, but world, weapons, overall gameplay, vehicles and graphics are better.

I've been replaying them all and I think fc4 has the best gameplay. FC3's story is better honestly but it's got signs of age such as several FOV breaking glitches that seem to be unfixable

Plus, FC4 gives a lot more opporotunities to use the cool game mechanics like special takedowns and the wingsuit whereas in FC3 I just found myself grabbing an AK and shooting my way through everything since the stealth is slower in that game due to map design not having enough bushes or alone enemies

Yeah, I've heard than gun-play in Far Cry 3 is almost too simple when compared to Far Cry 2 and Far Cry 4.

I'm glad that more people are willing to admit that Far Cry 4 is worthy of being tried out.

Absolutely. I like the Far Cry franchise but 4 is my favourite all rounder by far. It has nice visuals and I enjoy the story as well as being able to make certain decisions that change the ending.

The antagonist Pagan Min is great. I've never actually found him annoying. Quite the opposite. He has the perfect amount of screen time. Not too much and not too little. He'll call you occasionally as you roam the map and have a random discussion.

Hurk is in Far Cry 4 too and even has his own dlc. I mean its worth playing just for Hurk.

My honest answer is yes and no.
for campaign yes since the campaign is here and there, I would get it if a friend wants it.
the mp not so much since it's dead.
