I tried one game on Pre-Warp with new patch, and I was spammed every turn with a new leader available when my credits per turn were just (+4) and I only had one colony. Took the fun out of pressing enter to take the next turn when I have to click a new flash every turn so early in the game. I think it needs toning down a bit.
@billamos its not only with custon race jsut got stucked with Psilons with Antarean "face" over whole monitor. They must be using some unknow technology which freezes computers :D

It whole seems like there were not enough time to fully polish this update but im sure some fix is coming in soon.
Wonderful update. I still hate the pointless pollution management - I just want to turn it off with a MOD. A focus on the pollution factor doesn't really add depth to a 4X game. I'd like to see the ability to research and choose a form of government, and expand social/cultural influence over neighboring races. I'd also like to see a deeper Trade system.
So far I had no pollution with the update after about 150 turns. It seems it was changed a bit.
is it just me or did it seem like there have been two updates in the last two days. Got the initial 700mb one on the first. now i have a 1 gig update today on the second. wtf is it for?
Does the hull and shield points work for everyone? I went into battle with a destroyer with Shield 1 and no armor modifies. I thought I was good 200+ of damage, but I was destroyed with 100 damage.

loved playing against the antarans back in Master or Orion 2, now... not so much, found them way to difficult to fight most of the time because of how early they appeared. In the end after starting a new game a few times(gave up fighting the antarans' ever increasing fleet), I came up with a tactic, sort of, that worked, mostly. Near the end(turn 400+) it was getting hard to fight them back again, even when my fleet kept growing exponentially between each of their "visits".

Back to the tactic I used... I really used no tactic, since what I did was simple: I did not defend. I let them bomb my planets(sometimes after fighting against that planet's defense structures of course) every time my fleet showed to have very little chance of victory. That way they may wipe out the population, but they leave the buildings standing, which means all you have to do is send in a few civil transports with new colonists, and they'll continue where the others left off when the antarans bombed them to extinction. Why do it? colonists you get more of all the time, for free, ships you do not, so unless your fleet shows as having a good chance of winning(at least half the victory chance bar filled), don't engage but send your fleet away.
