So the most memorable experience I ever had with an end-game empire doesn't exist you say? Ha.
i loved the antarans attacking me in in early games to capture those tiny ships ;)
And the Battlesuits for ground combat, I totally enjoyed watching those armies clash in epic toe to toe groundcombat.
Being a space racist ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I never wanted my planets to be multicultural, but I loved gaining free buildings. Plus war with everyone in the galaxy made things more interesting
Large and poor? Off you go as a gift to the sakkra.. and then i stellar convert and rebuild as large and abundant.
And ofcourse this kept my empire as Pure Democratic (7), Creative (6), Omniscient (3) +Subterranean (6) (with mutation). No aliens. Stellar conversion was a great way to eliminate aliens.
Or just plain building a planet killer ship.
99+99+99+...99+99 bombs work wonders when it comes to make a ship that destroys planets too.
If the guns and time warp facilitator werent ensuring near perfect kills for my latest uberdesign meant to kill anything and everything.
Yeah, didnt build much in the way of fleets later. More like singular super-prototypes.
But most of those traits don't matter on the per-citizen level, so I don't exactly see why the 'no aliens' thing is all that appealing. Especially considering the Sakkra have Subterranean PLUS other things that benefit on the per-citizen level. (EDIT: What I mean by the per-citizen level is that any aliens you assimilate into your empire live under your Democracy anyway, and both Creative and Omniscient are empire-wide traits unaffected by population composition of the empire as a whole... though I never really had interest in Omniscient- it only tells me something I'm going to learn pretty quickly anyway, and some Leaders even GIVE you the equivalent upon joining you if they have Galactic Lore... and it just feels like a waste by the late-game, to me)
