Meklar Way Overpowered
Seems to have started with the latest patch, but now the Meklar easily outpace pretty much everyone else - having far superior tech and massive production bonuses. It doesn't seem to matter which difficulty setting is involved, they just leap away from the pack within the early stages of the game and become impossible to deal with.

Admittedly, this does remind me a lot of MoO and MoO2 ... but that's not a good thing in this case.

If you're seriously losing on any difficulty level, you're doing something horribly wrong. THe AI needs an insane buff atm to be viable.
I'll admit that Meklar tends to have a small advantage atm compared to other computer controlled races, but you should still be able to completely dominate them.

The Meklar, Klackon and silicoids are all capable of putting up a fight, if the human player avoids certain upgrades. We are finally to the point where serious ai and balancing will start, it should get more fun as we go.

The reason that I cited the Meklar specifically is that they're the only race that enjoys this big ramp up - at least anywhere to this degree. This isn't about me being a 'horrible player', Japi, as I'm far from it, it's about me notcing that the Meklar are more power than any of the other races, regardless of difficulty or settings,unless they're neutered early.

Yes, the Meklars are the strongest. They are the only real AI Opponent currently. At least you can make a game harder, if you choose Meklar as opponent. To fix this, they should not get their bonus right at the start with full effect. Lets increase is slowly, when they research something.
