Client Crash Issues - Output Logs Needed
Greetings all,

We've seen reports of crash issues since Early Access 3 started and as of today's patch. The development team is in the process of tracking down the cause(s) but needs more data to easily pinpoint what that might be.

If you are experiencing game client crashes, please submit a ticket to our customer support team, as well as your output_log (Windows) / player.log (Mac/Linux) file and some basic information about the issue you're experiencing.

Our CS team will then forward that information on to the development team so it can be investigated.

Link to submit the ticket (depending on your region):

Note: This ticket submission is for users that do not have a Wargaming.net account. If you have a Wargaming.net account, you can submit a ticket through the normal process, outlined here: https://na.wargaming.net/support/tickets/create

Please be sure to attach the output log file to this ticket. The file is "output_log" for Windows users and "player.log" for Mac and Linux users. The file can be found in the default location of:

  • Windows - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Master of Orion\MasterOfOrion_Data
  • Mac - Root/Users/[username]/Library/Logs/Unity
  • Linux - ~/.config/unity3d/Wargaming/Master of Orion/

In addition to the output log file, please also include the following information:

  • Brief description of the crash you're experiencing and when it happens
  • Operating system and version
  • System specs (graphics card, processor, RAM)
  • Any security software that is installed (such as antivirus)
  • The user permission level you are attempting to access the game with (i.e. running as admin on Windows)

We apologize for the issues you're experiencing and are working to get this addressed as soon as possible. The log files will help immensely in hunting these crash issues down, so we appreciate any assistance you're able to provide.

I am trying to submit my log. The form is asking for an "Email of the referred account".

Wat do with this? Do I need to register before submitting an annonymous ticket? It won't let me submit without this field.

For an "anonymous" ticket form you sure ask for a lot of info about me >.>
Why exactly do they need my mobile number?
What is your email as you are the one who referred me to that page :P

Since that site is being derpy here's a dropbox link to my output_log.txt: https://www.dropbox.com/s/44lvjmg9s2gb2ns/output_log.txt?dl=0

And the message box:
The auto upgrade "feature" still messes up blueprints so I was going back through them and fixing them but twice in a row it crashed in the editor after editing the second and then third design without leaving to the main game screen. I think it was specifically when I was trying to click on a weapon already equipped to change the number installed. Maybe it was confused and trying to drag it at the same time as bring up the editor gui?

Your page is crazy. It's for people who don't have a wargaming account? Well it refuses to let me go ahead without having one.

The Wargaming.net page isn't much better. I just submitted exactly the info and file that this page asks for, and almost instantly received a form letter asking me to submit the entire crash dump folder plus a dxdiag report. So... yeah.

And now I get the feeling that no one told the Wargaming.net staff that they were supposed to be collecting these crash reports for you at all, because I just got a response back (after submitting the rest of the files they asked for) that said my system specs looked fine, so they suggested just running the Verify Files action in Steam before playing again.

...which kinda says to me that no one told them this was a known issue and you really wanted the crash reports to look at. Or at least they're trying to act to the customers in general like everything is fine and people should just "try turning it off and on again".

Kunou, if you don't mind, I'd like to discuss this with you in private to make sure we get the right info. Adding you to friends to start a chat. Apologies for the runaround, Steam as a publishing platform is new for us, so we're still adapting our methods.

oh, sorry, forgott to add when the crashes occur: everytime in the shipeditor. it seems to start with the autoupdater putting tons of pointdefense on the blueprints when you choose to autoupdate them. and then manually changing them seems to cause a crash after a few minutes in the editor.

Thanks, downloading now and I'll make sure to note that when I submit it to the dev team.

I'm not getting any log files created when starting a new Huge, Circular game. The progress bar just stops then I get "Not responding".

Same from me Bubble. No game file is created with that setting

My issue was the same. When the progress bar gets to that stopping point, just Alt-Tab out of the game and do some surfing. Come back after a few minutes and the game has caught up to itself and finished loading.

Still annoying, but you can avoid the crash.

Please work with Steam to fix this patch as that Wargaming.net page asks an insane amount of personal information and there is no way I'm going to fill out all of those. Heck, my credit card company needs less info then that!

And, as already stated, it seems to happen mostly in the ship editor
