Ship Symbols on overall Galactic Map/Fleet Management

Does anyone else think it would be a good idea to get symbols reflecting the type of fleet travelling when fully zoomed out. Current they are all triangles/arrows in the colour of the race that owns them. It would be great if say the space factory had a particular symbol when zoomed out and different symbols for all other ships types.

You could have the same symbol for military ships, they don't need separate icons/symbols per class. This would help when playing zoomed out which I do more and more in late game. I also really think the fleet management tab needs some work. You don't really have a lot of control with this and it's more of an infographic to me.

I made another post about the difficulty of fleet management (ie merging fleets or seperating ships and how cumbersome it is). Maybe this is the tab that could do all this and more. It seems that from EA3 or 4 which is when I bought the game little has changed in this regard.

Great idea! If possible, I would also ask if they could put the number of ships in the middle of the triangle, or maybe if to small when you mouse over the triangle as a tooltip.

Didn't think of that, good idea! Just helps because I think once you reach mid game and onwards especially for me (maybe not everyone) i tend to play everything on the map zoomed all the way out.

Agree that the fleet management tab needs some work. You have to click on each fleet to see the ships, which gets tedious when you have a large fleet that is spread out.

Icons for each fleet type would be much more useful.

Hopefully the dev's notice this thread and can put something on the deck for the next update or one after? I don't imagine it would be that hard to do honestly. Especially the symbol change when zoomed out. Thanks for your thoughts everyone!
